Making art to me is similar to my meditation practice. I use color, texture, layer, pattern, and mark making as my language to form these organic shapes and lines, which are reflective of my environment, space, and emotions. On the surfaces, I add layers upon the layers, and then scrap them away in order to add more layers and colors, and to reveal something underneath. The repetitions of the layers, lines, and patterns express both simplicity and complexity in our nature, our society and the world.
